Not My Cup of Tea

I'm not sure what it is about this candle, or whether I perhaps got one that just isn't right, but I really don't like this fragrance (which is very unusual when it comes to Kringle because I normally adore their fragrances). There is a rancid note to my nose on cold, and it doesn't improve when burning. If candles could actually go "off", then this one would classify as having gone off. I don't pick up on a delicious cookie scent as I expected to. There is no sweetness, and no tantalizing bakery note. I also don't get a clearly distinguishable tea note from this one. I actually get a slightly burnt, off-putting note with no sweet or delicious gourmand notes. It's very difficult to describe and so I'm just going to leave things there. As they say in the classics, you can't win them all. This one is a big miss for me. I'm trying to get through it by burning it in our guest bathroom during the week, while we have no guests. :-)

Back up worthy

I originally ordered Tea & Cookies during the after Christmas sale last year, and I loved it so much I bought my second large 2 wick during the recent Mother's Day sale. This is a wonderful, baked butter cookie scent with the softest hint of tea spices and a sliver of what my nose perceives as lemon at the very bottom. The caramel listed in the notes comes off less as a sugary caramel, more like a caramelized butter from a baking cookie. I absolutely love this scent, and will purchase more as long as Kringle keeps it available. I can burn this any time of year, nothing makes this a strictly holiday scent. I love it paired with Tea Time! They blend together beautifully! I highly recommend it!
